If a Lifecycle Definition has been configured to classify with Auto-Classification rules then the Classification Rules can be configured.


Field Name Description
Rule ID The Rule ID.
Rule Name The name of the rule that appears in the UI when assigning it.
Active Indicates whether the rule is active. The rule can be made inactive when it is being developed/enhanced.
Cabinet Name A classification rule works at the cabinet level and this is a required field.
Index Name Classification works by apply a rule, or a group of rules, to identify a specific document type. The index name selected stores the value of the classified document. An example would be Document Type, Category or Vendor.
Index Value This is the value that is assigned to the Index Name. An example of this would be a Promissory Note as part of a loan package. The rule would identify that this is a Promissory Note and then assign the value entered in this field.

There are two rule configurations, Basic and Advanced. The default is Basic and allows the rule to be configured by a UI. If the rule is complex then the Advanced configuration can be so the designer can use DocScript to determine the classification logic.

Phrase This is the phrase tag to search for the rule to be successful. This can either be a text word, phrase or regular expression.
Occurrences Indicates the number of times a phrase has to occur before the classification is successful. If a value is not specified then 1 occurrence is assumed.
Location - Pages

Indicates a specific page, or page range.
1-5 - 1 to 5 pages.
1,2,4,6 - Comma separated pages

If this value is left blank then all pages are targeted.

Location - Chars Indicates character block within the target page(s). If the value you search is always at the top you can specify the first 300 chars etc.
Percentage Confidence The percentage confidence assigned if the Phrase is found in the target area (Location - Page, Location - Chars)
Rule Effectiveness This is a read only field and is updated by the system. The designer can monitor the effectiveness to see if any necessary enhancements need to be made.
